The breakfast will be designed to provide helpful insights on emerging opportunities in public health infrastructure in India and Indonesia.
We have two invited speakers who will share their perspective on India and Indonesia respectively.
Sanjiv Verma, a leading healthcare consultant to multinational companies in India taps on his experience as the former CEO India at Da Vita and Managing Director at Baxter India Private Limited.
Lester Lee, the Regional Director of Emerging Asia at Abbott Laboratories, who formerly served as the Managing Director of Johnson and Johnson will discuss his perspective on Indonesia’s public health infrastructure.
You will learn about the current scenario in India and Indonesia with regards to the state of public infrastructure and key issues with how the public health system works. The discussion will also cover the current thinking of respective governments to leverage the existing legacy infrastructure and pilot projects initiated.
The featured speakers will advise on what needs to be done to ensure the private sector gets interested in leveraging the public system.
This gathering will be an educational networking session for invited regional leaders from healthcare companies. The discussion and Q&A will last approximately two hours from 8.30am to 10.30am, and breakfast will be served.

Organizers of the Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR) are pleased to announce the Second Global Symposium – Inclusion and Innovation Towards Universal Health Coverage. This time researchers, policy-makers, funders, implementers, civil society and media representatives, and other stakeholders will gather in Beijing, China, to review the status of HSR since the last Symposium in Montreux (November 2010), to share new evidence, identify new opportunities and gaps, build understanding across disciplinary boundaries, and discuss the way forward to support HSR and the use of evidence in decision-making in low- and middle-income countries.
