Introducing this month’s Health Innovation Blog Carnival Entrants

Posted By Damjan DeNoble and James Flanagan

First, let us say that while we received a lot of entries through our posting on Blogcarnival.com, not all of them met the requirements for the carnival.   But, we do have three great posts that made the cut;

1.) Cognitive Behavior Therapy with Asian Population

An interesting piece sent to us by Pella Verbati, on how to approach depression/anxiety therapy with Chinese patients.

2.) Pharmacogenetic Algorithm Accurately Predicts Warfarin Dosing

Sent to us via Twitter by @HighlightHEALTH, this piece describes how an algorithm developed a group of researchers accurately predicts an individuals optimum dosage of a blood thinning agent.  The author of the piece, Noelle K. LoConte, M.D., sums up the significance of this study nicely, saying;

This is a promising application of “personalized medicine”, whereby drugs and drug doses will be safer and more effective for patients because they will be selected based on an individual’s genetic makeup.

3.) RapidArc : Latest in Radiation Technology For The Treatment Of Cancer

This is a nice profile of a cool looking new radiotherapy treatment.  Make sure to go visit the site and check out the pics.  This was submitted to us by @ramaraobobby.

Thank you for everyone that submitted, and we hope that those of you, who’s entries did not make it, try again next month.
