Beijing’s medical ticket scalpers ring

Posted by James Flanagan

Danwei points to a Beijing News article. It’s a short article about medical ticket scalping and a stabbing. Here’s the interesting part:

“Last December, the police busted a similar “ticket scalper gang”, arresting 14 members. The gang had monopolized the business in Beijing’s Xiehe Hospital. A ticket which normally sells for 14 yuan was sold by the gang for 400 to 800 yuan.”
